On the 5 February 2019, the American Chamber of Cyprus, the American-Hellenic Chamber of Greece and the American Chamber in Israel with the desire to promote the development of trade, investment and generally business and economic relations between their members but also more generally between Cyprus, Greece Israel and the USA agreed to sign an MoU to establish a general cooperation framework between the three parties.
The parties agreed among other to:
- To exchange regularly market information, business opportunities and economic delegations for promoting the interests of the American companies in the regions.
- To encourage the exchange of business and trade delegations, and to support the follow-up of such visits.
- To co-organize meetings, seminars, trade exhibitions, workshops and conferences in the region and potentially in the USA to promote investment, trade, industrial cooperation, technology transfer, joint ventures and generally business and economic cooperation. The parties also committed to encourage and support the participation of their member companies in these events.
- To develop a business network, which will facilitate the circulation of business opportunities available in the countries among the members of both Parties.
The memorandum was signed by representatives of the three AmChams, Mr. Haris Kakoullis (AmCham Cyprus), Mr. Marios Kyriacou (American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce) and Mr. Oded Rose (Israel-America Chamber of Commerce)
